Online Pilates Classes
to help you become a Happy Being

Mat Pilates classes at Happy Being with Jane Haddow are now online and are just as enjoyable as the classes in the studio. Read the recent 5 star google reviews.

“I love Jane’s Pilates classes. I used to go to them in the real world, and then a combination of time and location meant I had to give it up. But now the classes are all online, on Zoom, and they’re easy to follow and convivial, and a godsend after a day at the computer. Jane’s a great teacher – she shows you the moves then checks you’re doing them properly – and I highly recommend her classes.”

Happy Being offers small and welcoming online classes tailored to your individual needs delivered clearly online by Jane who is an experienced teacher and highly professional. Jane is encouraging whether you are a beginner or someone who has been doing Pilates for years. Her ability to adapt the moves means you can still be doing an advanced challenging move in the same class as a beginner.

Pilates is an approach to whole body conditioning that is adaptable to your unique needs and objectives. The Mat Pilates classes are now online Pilates Classes.
There are 34 original Pilates moves and the majority of them are practised over a term, visiting some of the exercises 3-4 times during a term. There is then the opportunity to develop through the levels of a move during the term and subsequent terms if appropriate. Pilates moves build strength and increase flexibility and mobility.

Deep tissue, remedial Massage relieves muscle tension in tight knotted tissues realigning and stretching the muscle, using a series of techniques such as effleurage, petrissage, myofascial release and trigger pointing.

  • I’ve been coming to Jane’s class for a year now, on the recommendation of a friend and haven’t looked back. She has incredible physiological knowledge and takes great care to manage exercise to individuals needs and level of experience. The classes are small but in no way intimidating to anyone new as she has a lovely way about her. Really enjoy my class each week, currently via Zoom but hopefully back in the studio before too long. Highly recommend to anyone.

  • I am new to Pilates having resisted it for years. I am glad I agreed to give it a try. Jane’s classes are fun, challenging and effective. I feel my strength balance and suppleness have all improved. Equally good in the studio and (during lockdown) online.

  • I have been doing Pilates classes with Jane for several years now and would highly recommend! Jane is a fantastic teacher and tailors the moves during the class if you have any injuries or back/shoulder pain etc. The classes are kept small so Jane is able to ensure everyone is doing the moves correctly to get the most out of each exercise. Over the years I have seen my flexibility, balance and strength improve massively. The classes online have also been amazing, still tailored for the individual and each class focuses on full body flexibility and strength.

  • Jane is a superb teacher. She developed an exercise programme to ease pain in my arthritic knee, which has helped enormously. The sessions have been online, and Jane’s delivery is so clear it’s like being in the same room. I’m hugely grateful for her expertise and advice, and glad to be getting back to my outdoor activities.

  • I’ve been going to Jane’s pilates classes for more years than I can actually remember and enjoy them as much now as I did at the start. She always takes the time to correct and advise on moves particularly if you have any shoulder or back issues. Hurrah for her online classes – it’s a new experience but just as good!
