Sports Massage Therapist & Pilates Teacher

Edinburgh based massage therapist, Jane Haddow qualified with a diploma from the London School of Sports Massage in 2004 and achieved an advanced remedial massage diploma in 2016 from the Scottish Massage Schools. Over the years Jane has built up a successful and busy practice in the heart of the West End helping her clients greatly. In 2009 Jane qualified with a certificate in Mat Pilates, Teaching Level 3 CYQ (Central YMCA Qualifications) and teaches small, friendly classes from beginners to advanced. Many of Jane’s class members have been coming along to her classes for more than five years now and enjoy all the benefits regular Pilates sessions offer. 

Jane has found being a qualified sports and remedial massage therapist and Pilates teacher has helped her understand and solve her clients problems, whether they are work related and postural (general aches and pains) or sports injury related.

Jane is committed to encouraging everyone to help themselves through the knowledge she has gained over the years.

For a healthy mind Jane has a daily meditation practice which over the years has been of great benefit to her. She also practices Qigong regularly having qualified as a Qigong teacher in 2011. These body and mind practices help Jane to look at her clients symptoms, stresses and lifestyles from a western scientific perspective and a holistic eastern view point.This compassionate approach helps Jane’s clients to a feeling of greater wellbeing.

Working as a sports & remedial massage therapist at Happy Being in the West end of Edinburgh Jane’s knowledge and more than a decade of experience mean she is able to treat people with long term problems such as lower back pain, shoulder pain and neck pain with great success. When Jane solves the muscular problems through massage people continue to have preventative treatments as a maintenance measure and because they enjoy it!

Jane’s Pilates classes at Happy Being in Edinburgh are for all levels from the beginner to the more advanced practitioner and as the class numbers are small, individual attention is guaranteed. The classes help those with ailments such as lower back pain, sciatica, shoulder impingement’s and neck pain.

Many of Jane’s class members have been coming along to the classes for over five years and enjoy all the benefits of Pilates in a warm and comfortable setting. New clients are very welcome, there are lunchtime and evening Pilates classes at Happy Being in Alva Street to suit everyone. The classes are popular, with the flexibility to make some classes up if missed. Happy Being is an ideal location for those working and living in and around the West end of Edinburgh.
