What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese hands on healing technique using “Universal Life Force Energy”, the energy that is flowing abundantly around and within all living things.

When we are in excellent health, there is a powerful flow through the body. However, during stressful times, this energy flow is slowed down or restricted. It is at these times that we start to feel unwell and our ability to allow this energetic flow through our systems is reduced or blocked.

Reiki is a way of channeling energy through the hands of an attuned practitioner, which are placed on or above different parts of the client’s fully clothed body. Reiki re-balances, heals and harmonises the recipient in a holistic way easing stress and soothing physical discomfort.

Stress, Depression and Anxiety

Reiki is particularly effective in relieving stress, depression, anxiety and helps to ease pain and accelerates the healing of injuries. The healing energy flows to wherever it is needed in the body, promoting deep relaxation and a feeling of profound well being and greater inner calm.

The treatment is an hour in length and is performed on the treatment table with the client fully clothed (so an ideal option for those that want to relax but may not be comfortable with treatments like massage that require you to undress).

During the treatment hands are placed very gently on the body, effects can be experienced in a variety of ways but a feeling of warmth and peaceful relaxation are the most common ways to be aware of the energy.
